HOW YOU
CAN GET INVOLVED
Whether you are a young person or a decision-maker with responsibility for making decisions which affect young people, Newcastle Youth Council needs your support.
If you are a young person, there are many ways you can be involved.
We would love you to get involved if you have issues you think the Youth Council should take up, or problems in the area you live. Simply get in touch with us by phone or email or even through our Facebook page.
We are also looking for people to write pieces for the website and for our blog page. If you have photography, video or drawing skills, we are always looking for people to help us out in these areas too.
You may belong to a youth group or school council and want us to work with your group to achieve change or raise money. Simply get in touch.
Full Youth Council meetings, which happen every two months, are open to all young people aged 11-18, although you need to advise us before attending to check we have space in the meeting room.
If you are part of an organisation that makes decisions affecting young people, we encourage you to get in contact with us to see if we can help you gather young people’s opinions to inform your decision-making.
We are also keen to seek alliances with groups or organisations that share similar aims.
If the issue concerns young people in Newcastle, then Newcastle Youth Council should be your first port of call. Don’t be shy.
