 Anyone aged 11-18 can vote in the Youth Council elections which take place across the city in schools, youth clubs, libraries and leisure centres next week from 15th to 18th October. Online voting will be available too. You vote for candidates in the area you live. For example, people living in areas with postcodes beginning NE4 will vote for candidates in Newcastle West.

 Voting forms (or ballot papers as they are also called) will be colour-coded.

BLUE for young voters living in postcodes NE4, NE5 & NE15 (WEST).
GREEN for those in postcodes NE3 & NE13 (NORTH)
YELLOW for those in postcodes NE6 & NE7 (EAST)
PINK for those in postcodes NE1, NE2 and those at Newcastle College who don't live in Newcastle (CENTRAL)

 Candidates stand in the area they live, except for those who working or studying in Newcastle but living outside city boundaries. Those candidates stand in the area they go to work or school. Newcastle College students living outside the city stand in Newcastle Central area.
